Terms of Service

These terms are a binding agreement between you and ChapterFlow (“we”, “us”), operator of chapterflow.tech and the ChapterFlow Offline desktop application. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use ChapterFlow.

ChapterFlow is an AI-assisted writing studio: it generates and edits novel chapters, story bibles, articles, short stories, and research material using large language models. Online features consume credits; the desktop edition is sold as a one-time lifetime license and runs generations locally or with your own API key.

• Prices are displayed in USD and billed in INR through Razorpay at the rate shown on the billing page.
• Credits are consumed per generation, never expire, and are non-transferable. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
• Promotional coupon codes (for example student or author discounts) may be modified or withdrawn at any time; misuse — including resale or automated redemption — may void the discount and the associated credits.
• New accounts receive complimentary starter credits, which carry no cash value.

You own your writing. Manuscripts, prompts, and other content you create remain yours, including AI-assisted output, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You grant us only the limited license needed to store and process that content to operate the service (including sending it to our AI provider to fulfil your generation requests, as described in the Privacy Policy). We do not use your content to train models and never share it with other users.

• AI-generated text can be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to text produced for others. You are responsible for reviewing and editing output before publishing it.
• We make no guarantee that output is free of third-party rights claims, factually correct, or fit for a particular purpose.
• You are responsible for compliance with any publisher, platform, or academic rules on AI-assisted writing that apply to you.

You agree not to:

• use the service to create content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes others' rights;
• attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems, or access another user's data;
• resell, share, or automate access to your account, credits, or license keys;
• reverse-engineer the desktop application or circumvent its license activation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

A ChapterFlow Offline license is personal to you, valid for the lifetime of the product, and may be activated on machines you personally use. It does not include future paid products, and “lifetime” refers to the product's supported lifetime, not the purchaser's.

You can stop using ChapterFlow at any time and delete your account from the Profile page. We may suspend or terminate service for breach of these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first. Sections 4, 5, 9, and 10 survive termination.

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost manuscripts you did not back up, or publishing outcomes.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts of competent jurisdiction in India have exclusive jurisdiction — without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections you enjoy in your country of residence.
